This exclusive one-day executive leadership program, co-hosted by Constantiam, IED Training Solutions, Dalhousie Estate and Professional Sporting Solutions is delivered by two elite former Royal Marine snipers who draw directly on their lived and learned experience at the highest levels of performance.
Designed for senior leaders, the program translates the precision and discipline of the sniper into a powerful leadership framework: Shoot, Move, Communicate. This proven model unlocks skills in decisive execution, adaptability in complex environments and clarity under pressure, ensuring leaders can provide direction and strength for their teams when it matters most.
What does the programme involve?
Participants will step into the world of the OverWatch Group, where leadership is sharpened through the sniper’s lens. This immersive experience allows leaders to explore the art of awareness; scanning the environment, reading the moment and acting with precision.
Throughout the day, participants will uncover strategies to balance distance with involvement, protection without micromanaging, and to deliver clarity under pressure, ensuring their teams always feel the confidence and cover they need to perform at their best.
As part of this immersive experience, participants will also take part in a realistic sniper range for a live-fire session with precision sniper weapon systems, putting the principles of focus, control, and decisive action into practice in a way they’ll never forget.
How does the OverWatch Group relate to business leadership?
In a professional context, think of an overwatch group as a team of senior analysts or strategists. While the main team is focused on the day-to-day work, like developing a product, closing a sale, or managing a project, the overwatch team is looking at the bigger picture – analysing trends, identifying opportunities, and keeping an eye on their competitors.
Like a sniper in an overwatch group, their role isn’t to do the core work but to provide crucial intelligence, early warnings, and a sense of security, allowing the rest of the team to operate effectively and confidently. They provide the clarity and foresight needed to navigate complex situations successfully.
Who is leading the course?
Experienced former Royal Marine Snipers Ross Wilson and Bradley Bourner will sharpen leadership skills throughout the duration of this innovative course.
Ross served as a Royal Marines Commando for 27 years, specialising as a sniper and rising through the ranks to become Regimental Sergeant Major at 45 Commando. He now blends his elite performance principles with practical leadership insights to help leaders at global organisations build high-performance cultures and develop the ability to thrive under pressure.
Bradley has more than 25 years experience as a marksman, seven of which were in the Royal Marine Commandos. His career highlight was serving as Sniper Team Leader on operations in Afghanistan Herrick 9, where he acted as the eyes and ears of the Commanding Officer. His skills as a marksman have taken him around the world, and he now uses his experiences of working in military and wildlife management to improve the efficacy of the industries he works with.
